大多數高考英語考綱詞匯集，只列了單詞、詞性和詞義，沒有例句和辨析講解。筆者試圖在考綱詞匯的基礎上，給出例句或短語，并對個別重點詞匯作出講解、辨析，希望對老師的教學和學生的學習有所幫助。
知識在于積累。在沒有特殊原因的情況下，我計劃根據考綱詞匯，每天堅持講解幾個單詞，不斷更新。
根據自己的情況，不忙，可能一天多更新幾次，忙很了，也可能過幾天才能更新。
在講解過程中，錯誤在所難免，希望讀者在發現錯誤的時候，及時在評論區給予批評、指正。
discourage v.
1. discourage sb (from doing sth).使氣餒，失去信心。
Don’t let these little problems discourage you.
不要因為這些小問題而氣餒。
2. discourage sb from doing sth.勸阻。
Consumers should be discouraged from throwing away glass and tins.應當勸阻消費者不要亂扔玻璃和白鐵器皿。
discover vt. 發現：
Columbus discovered America in 1492.
哥倫布于1492年發現了美洲。
I discovered him kissing my wife.
我撞見他在吻我的妻子。
discovery n.[C,U]發現；被發現的事物：
Columbus’ discovery of America occurred in 1492.
哥倫布于1492年發現美洲。
discuss v.討論，商議：
I want to discuss your work with you.
我想和你一起討論你的工作。
They discussed selling the house. 他們商量過賣房子的事。
【注意】1.及物動詞，后接賓語時不要按漢語意思在其后誤加介詞about。
2.后接動詞作賓語時，要用動名詞，不用不定式(除非其前有疑問詞)：
We discussed do it. 我們討論了該如何做此事。
3. 其后可接whether引導的賓語從句，不用if引導的賓語從句：
We discussed we should close the shop. 我們討論了是否應該把店關掉。
discussion n.[C,U]討論，議論：
class discussion 課堂討論
The incident caused much discussion among the public.
這件事在公眾中議論紛紛。
disease n. [C,U]病，疾病：
Disease is an enemy of mankind. 疾病是人類的敵人。
Some skin diseases are difficult to treat.
有些皮膚病很難治。
disgusting a.令人厭惡的，討厭的。
What a disgusting smell !這氣味真令人作嘔！
dish n. [C]盤，碟，盤形物；一道菜：
He cleared away the dishes. 他收拾了餐具。
There are only two meat dishes on the menu. 菜單上只有兩類肉類菜。
disk=disc n.磁盤。
dislike
v.不喜歡。
I really dislike flying.我真的不喜歡坐飛機。
n.不喜歡。
She couldn’t hide her dislike for him.
她無法掩飾對他的厭惡。
He seems to have a strong dislike of hard work.
他似乎對辛苦的工作很厭惡。
